If you are a dancer or gymnast or do any other active sport you could have some form of inflamation. I did classical ballet for 13 years and for most of the last half of the time my hips cracked and popped everytime I moved. Try increasing the strength in your knees; ask your local gym what some good exercises are. And unless you are severely overweight, you probably don't have chronic arthritis.

I have growing pains meaning that my ligiments or joints aren't growing as fast as my bones and other stuff. its usually with teenagers or around the 20's and if its that all they do is inject a medicine into your knees and I was told that it wouldn't hurt because joints don't have nerves and such so no pain, but anyways I chose to go with the pills, and it works pretty good so far. ask your doctor, it would be the best way to figure it out.

I think you have been doing too much walking and have ruined your joints. Try an antiiflammatory painkiller like Tylenol. Try using an elevator in the meantime.

You may not be old enough for bad knees but bad knees can be young enough for you.
Check with your doctor.

My mom has the same problem. She went to the doctor about it and was told it was arthritis. You should check in with your doctor to be on the safe side.

A man went to the doctor and said, "Doc, my arm hurts when I hold it this way". The doctor replied, "well don't hold it that way".
