Well, for one thing, I did not see your point on the first " verse."
8:12 "I will cast TERROR into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore STRIKE OFF THEIR HEADS AND STRIKE OFF EVERY FINGERTIP of them" seems to me like a very "natural" and "ordinary" scenario in a war that would happen thousands of years ago!!! considering they used swords then. I mean did the crusaders did any better? perhaps you prefer dropping bomb and missiles on buildings where only women and children are taking shelter in???
As far as your second verse goes, You might want to run a search for yourself...
"http://www.hti.umich.edu/k/koran/simple.html" The word carpet has been used only twice in the Quran.
"[55.76] Reclining on green cushions and beautiful carpets."
and
"[88.16] And carpets spread out." and that's about it. So, Mr. zero chance, you are absolutely right. God DID not say such silly things!!!
"[13.3] And He it is Who spread the earth and made in it firm mountains and rivers, and of all fruits He has made in it two kinds; He makes the night cover the day; most surely there are signs in this for a people who reflect."

Dude....chill. Relax....breathe....
Unlike christianity, Muslim keeps up with the times. They even admit that some stuff in the Quran are outdated and should not be practiced. Hell, some Muslim officials (or whatever their version of priests, bishops, and cardinals are called) even go as far as preaching tolerance in other people's religion (again, unlike christianity), and respecting gays because they are fellow human beings (once again...unlike christianity).
Don't believe all the crap the media tells you. Go out and meet a Muslim person and see what they're really like and don't buy into propoganda bullcrap.

excuse me???, it doesnt f*cking say kill all non believers, it says, let them choose their path, and u follow ur own path, try and spread islam if u can(which ppl dont even f*cking do), and most of all, no one should be forced because he then is not a believer by heart, let him/her choose themselves. plus, islam strictly dictates non violence, jihad is supposed to be 'self-defense', and the fanatics are acting f*cked up and going around blowing things up and making the rest of us bad, man, they piss me off. There is no f*cking way the Quran says, kill non believers, What it probably meant was that Non believers(and believers who commit big bad deeds) will pay for there bad deeds in the afterlife, oh, and.... JESUS IS THE SON OF GOD, SO ARE U TRYING TO TELL ME GOD F*CKED SOMEONE AND HAD A CHILD??? MAN THAT IS KINDA F*CKED UP, DONT U THINK??? .............. And what Jewishgirl is saying also makes sense. and just so u know, i dont like disrespecting other religions. Also,F.Y.I, Murder, cheating an orphan out of his/her inheritance, stealing are the biggest crimes in islam.

The Bible recognises the life of the Canaanite god Ba'al in diverse places. in actuality that Christian monotheism originated interior the deserts of Egypt which replaced into until eventually now Polytheist. subsequently the early followers have been on very close shelter for the old impacts. In later circumstances the Egyptian concepts have been tempered with the concepts of Zoroastrianism with its bi-polar remarkable/incorrect mentality which maintains to be the lynchpin of Christian morality to on the present time. earlier that it replaced into elementary obedience subsequently Commandments, Deuteronomy etc.

you aren't providing us with verses from the quran to critique, only english translations of it, which could be as screwed up and inaccurate as the christian versions of the old testament.
before being translated, these verses may have made sense in their original arabic, so unless you can read it in arabic, you don't really have any authority to bash the quran.
