I have use it several time, but now it crashes every time I launch. Crash happens within 3 seconds after the main window opens.

try deleting the .plst files (user>you>library>preferences) for yahoo messenger and re-install the messenger.

return to a non beta messenger version and report the error to yahoo. since it is a beta crashes are bound to happen
