You're better off with a 2003, that's when Ford changed the warranty on Focus. It is now a 100,000 mile powertrain warranty, that stays with the car, & you don't have to pay anything extra to transfer it.

Try searching the websites of local NEW car dealers for trade-ins . Remember , you don't have to just search Ford dealers.
People trade in all makes & models .

Focus is a pretty hot seller right now due to fuel prices so if you see something you like don't wait too long to buy it, or it will be gone by the time you decide.
A new car dealer is not afraid to stand behind the used vehicles that they sell & will gladly run a carfax report for you, as well as makeing sure he's not selling 'Katrina' vehicles

Good Luck!

I wouldnt buy any car from michigan with 85 thousand on it for 6000 unless it was real high class, we use salt on the roads here and it eats the metal paint up on the car unless you wash it often with undercarraige wash in the winter

From a fellow Michigander !
go to www.traderonline.com. You can search cars by
location and price.
Ebay is not so bad either. Using the advanced search button
you can search by location using your zip code. I would inspect
before you buy though.
Finally you can search local ford dealers via this website

I would try autotrader.com, or just search around your local ford dealerships. I drive a ford focus too, and might I add good choise in car.

Try Carmax.

That's your best option.
