We partake in the Lord's Supper the body and blood of Christ 100% and also the bread and wine 100%. For the body and blood of Christ is in-with and under the bread and wine.
It is taken for the remission of our sins and strengthening of our faith.
Whoever has unrepentant sin, receives it to his harm.

When one partakes of the Lord's Supper one eats the flesh and drinks the blood of the Word of God. If one were to read the Scriptures without the help of the Spirit for understanding, he would only be eating the flesh without the blood (which is the Life of the flesh). If one partakes of both the flesh and the blood, he partakes of the Bread of God, washing it down with the Wine of God.

You dont could its in basic terms that some church homes are legalistic , you could actualy wreck bread at abode and rejoice the Lords supper. What replaced into reported via Chriist replaced into "as often as you try this etc " He did no longer say you had to be in church temple or everywhere else .So at abode as you have your meal and say (grace) you additionally can wreck bread interior the call of the Lord

Bread and wine...seems like a pretty boring supper. They didn't even have any cheese or fruit.
I would have had "The Lord's Chinese Delivery" instead.
That way during communion we could have Sesame Chicken and Fanta instead of a stale cracker and old wine.

1 Corinthians 10
Warnings From Israel's History
1For I do not want you to be ignorant of the fact, brothers, that our forefathers were all under the cloud and that they all passed through the sea. 2They were all baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea. 3They all ate the same spiritual food 4and drank the same spiritual drink; for they drank from the spiritual rock that accompanied them, and that rock was Christ. 5Nevertheless, God was not pleased with most of them; their bodies were scattered over the desert.
6Now these things occurred as examples[a] to keep us from setting our hearts on evil things as they did. 7Do not be idolaters, as some of them were; as it is written: "The people sat down to eat and drink and got up to indulge in pagan revelry."[b] 8We should not commit sexual immorality, as some of them did—and in one day twenty-three thousand of them died. 9We should not test the Lord, as some of them did—and were killed by snakes. 10And do not grumble, as some of them did—and were killed by the destroying angel.
11These things happened to them as examples and were written down as warnings for us, on whom the fulfillment of the ages has come. 12So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don't fall! 13No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.
Idol Feasts and the Lord's Supper
14Therefore, my dear friends, flee from idolatry. 15I speak to sensible people; judge for yourselves what I say. 16Is not the cup of thanksgiving for which we give thanks a participation in the blood of Christ? And is not the bread that we break a participation in the body of Christ? 17Because there is one loaf, we, who are many, are one body, for we all partake of the one loaf.
When we have communion we are remembering that Christ paid the price of our salvation by shedding his blood and offering his body. It was a fullfillment of what happened at Passover many years before he died. When we are partaking of this remembrance, we are acknowleging that we are a part of the church of Christ, we are one because of what Christ did.

Dear t g: It's in commemoration of a deeply beautiful moment for those who love Jesus. It was His last evening with His brothers as a teacher and ordinary Man - when he could sit with those He cared for and speak quietly over a good meal, and know inside of Himself what they did not yet know . . .He would not sit with them again in that life ,as a human, amongst his brothers and friends. They did not know. . . what Jesus knew: That Judas Iscariot would leave the dinner and set the entire crucifixion and Resurrection into motion.
At the dinner, He finally told them, and prepared them for what would occur in a matter of hours, but He did not say this until near the end of their evening together. It was a Passover dinner and the Jewish traditions were held at the table that night.
Their loss of Him would weigh heavily upon their chests and souls. He knew this. And, so, the famous breaking of the bread and drinking of the wine took place - as He taught them to take Him into themselves that he might be part of them. It was symbolic, of course. But in our Reality we are all part of each other. Part of God Himself - for He fashioned us in His Own Likeness: He is spirit-mind and His Creations are spirit-mind ; Held within the enfoldment of His body essence. We have One-ness through our Minds, since each spirit-mind Created has a channel that links it to every spirit-mind in the Creation as well as to the Father. We are linked through Mind and body essence as One. We live in full communication at all times. This is our Reality. Our Eternity.
Here on earth, Jesus tells his Disciples to consider their bread to be His body and their wine, His blood. When they eat and drink they become One, with Him - here on earth.
We cannot imagine the decision He had made that night. The alone-ness He would pass into, a few short hours later, when no one, not His Disciple friends, nor family - no one - would be able to be part of Him again, in the earthly life of the flesh. He was so young, you know? Thirty-ish. He loved being part of us all in human life. He liked music and dancing, enjoying wine with His meal, telling good stories, laughing with everyone. He loved so many, and so many surrounded Him. It could not have been easy to leave. To feel human separation - if only for the briefest of moments.
Of course, they would see him again. And we would all continue to have Him - His thoughts - His voice teaching us - again. Forever. But the dinner, you see, is that moment - that critical moment - when a transition shall now take place that is heart wrenching for Jesus and for the Disciples, together.
