it fairly is been particularly a at the same time as via fact that i've got carried out this, yet i think residing house windows Media participant itself will 'rip' the CD to mp3s. once you have a CD in and on the actual of the window the place it says Rip on a button and you click it, i think it asks you what format you prefer to tear the CD to. i've got not got a music CD right here with me or i could inform you step by ability of step. otherwise, only Google and locate and use one among many loose CD rippers to get your MP3s you like. i'm hoping that enables you. In media player 10, click on tools >>options and go to the Rip Music Tab, from there you can set it in the Format Menu so when you insert a disc it will rip it in Mp3 format, a good size is 128kbps.

You could either use the latest Windows Media Player (yes, it can rip to .mp3 and not just to .wma), or use a program like CDex (-> http://cdexos.sourceforge.net/index.html ).

I use soundforge, you extract the music from audio and save as an MP3. If you are wanting to do it for free you could try http://www.zdnet.com and see if they have utilities to do this.
