The religions should not be abolished but children should be baned from taking part in any religious activity. And religious schools should also be banned. If they cant indoctrinate children, religions will quickly shrink.

Organized religions should be TAXED.

Certainly the ones which insist upon playing politics.

(No man can serve two masters.)

Deductions should be allowed where it can be proved that the dollars were spent to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, shelter the homeless, train the jobless, etc. By all means.

No, abolishing religion is a cure worse than the disease, & would only make matters worse, by driving it underground. And by definition, those in this world cannot prove that there is NO next world; we can, at best, only show that we can't see it from here. And some people LIKE their "pie in the sky", and we don't KNOW that they're wrong. (We may hold strong opinions on the matter, but...)

But the ones which insist upon mixing the affairs of God & Man in the political arena should pay the entry fee; it's only fair.

No. Not only the american constitution safeguard the free choice of religion, even your constitution, who ever you are or what country you from. The people have their faith in God in many different ways and beliefs. This varies on the cultures and traditons of their respective countries where they grow up. In the constitution, there are provisions that says, "the separation of church and state". It means, the state will not interfere with the church's affair and vice versa.

Every war since the beginning of time has been a direct result of organized religion.

As much as I'd LOVE to see them gone, I have to say no. I just wish people would respect each other, regardless of beliefs or religion or lack thereof. They have the right to practice their religion, no matter what it might be. But no one has the right, in America, to make laws based on their religious beliefs, no matter how right it might seem to them.

Therein lies the rub.

No, but they should never be allowed to influence or help determine law or public policy. I think if religious zealots didn't push their snake oil mentality on the non-believers or free thinkers people like you wouldn't feel the need to ask questions like this.

no. I am a Christian, and i believe that my faith is the only way to heaven and if you take that awake, you condemn millions to hell. besides even if you do abolish organized religion, Christians will still continue to finish His work
