ive never travelled with infants this young before, i was just wondering if they need an ID?

No, they can travel under their parent's ID but bring their birth certificate with you.

As far as I know, only people 18 at up need photo ID's. I'm 17 and there have been times I've been ID'd at airports, and times I haven't (they've told me I don't need an ID untill I'm 18). Check the TSA website for their regulations: www.tsa.gov , and check with your airline. To be on the safe side, bring the child's birth certificate. At two months, if he/she is traveling as an infant in arms, they might not even need a birth certificate. But check to make sure. Better prepared than not.

I believe they only need one for international traveling. They might not need one for domestic traveling. As wierd as it sounds but ya. When my brother and his wife went on vacation with my nephew who was 3 months old they had to get him a passport but they were also included in the picture. Make sure to look into it and give yourself plenty of time to get everything done. This stuff can take a while.

No. We travelled within the States a couple of months ago. My daughter is 6 and they never asked for any photo ID, but at one airport the security agent asked her what her name is and how old she is to see if it matched the info on the ticket.

I wouldnt imagine so,,,,, but you never know these days. I heard that airports are crazy these days. LIke you can take a knitting needle on the plane but not lip gloss?? What's up with that?
And I don't think a 2 month old is capable of hiding an AK under their blanky.

No, the only people who need photo ids are those 16 and up, and actually my 16 year old has offered her drivers license and they've said they didn't need it until she was 18. Here's the TSA link on traveling with children.

Not if you travel domestic, just bring the birth cert. If you travel international, including mexico he/she will need a passport.

no. bring a birth certificate in case. my son's traveled with me a few times & he's older - but only 4 at the time of travel, we had no pic id - they justed asked him his name & age & i had his birth certificate on hand as well.
