I am a 16 year old boy who has recently confessed my love to my best friend. Me and her have been friends for over 2 years and it took me 4 months to work up the courage and tell her how i felt. She told me that she likes me too, and that she wants to take things steady to see what happens, but it seems like nothing is happening. We still hang out and all, but things are kind of akward and she does not seem interested in being more than friends, but i cannot continue being good friends with someome that i love if friends is all we can be. Please help me with what i should do or say. Thanx

what you said in the end is perfect. " I love and cherish you as a friend, but I love you and cant stand to be around you without being with you.

Boy do I know how you feel. I had a very similar situation. I loved one of my best friends, and I didn't have the courage to tell her. Finally I worked up the courage to tell her, it really made things quite akward. It is almost a year later and we still aren't going out, but we are much better friends. If I were you I would ask her out on a date and move into things slowly. Don't freak her out. but you have the makings of a very intimate relationship!! Hope it helps.

If shes been an a relationship before maybe she doesnt want one right now. She told you she likes you and she wants to take things steady so just wait it out a while. Maybe her feelings towards you while change and shell see she feelings the same way you do. Dont try and rush anything because it seems like she doesnt want to so just take your time and keep being there.

You were mere children when you first met. It takes time to grow up and see things the same way as you do. Be a gentleman to her and don't forget what you want.
Good luck to both of you.

if u love her then give her some time...she probably never thought of u in tat way so give her time to sort out her feelings. If still she keeps u dangling then move on..... ur whole life and tons of girls are there ahead of u!!

Well it is good that you told her. Maybe try to do things with her, give her compliments, but not too much of a compliment it might be weird for her.

Maybe she wants to date you but she doesn't want to mess up your friendship and really you shouldn't want to mess up your friendship just hang in there if you really love her you can wait a little bit longer

You should approach her and tell her once more how you feel. If that doesn't work... there are plenty more fish in the sea.
