Does that mean why is the sugar sweet? My Italian is not very good. If that's the question, the answer is that your tongue can sense a sweet flavour, which is characteristic of foods containing sugars. We enjoy these foods because they provide a high level of energy, which is the reason for eating in the first place.

arce que le sucre est doux...comme "la Dolce Vita" same double meaning for Sugar.

Sweet to the tongue but acid to the stomach.
