Instead of calling yourself a Christian, you are "Christing" (doing Christianity).

Instead of calling yourself an atheist, you see yourself as "atheizing" (living life in the way of an atheist).

You see the pattern.

People here talk about others not being "true Christians" or "true atheists." The problem may be the label. Plumbers plumb. Electricians wire. Preachers preach. You can watch them do it.

If people heard you or watched you Christing, what would they say Christing is?

Or Buddhing?

Or Islamizing?

Or atheizing?

That is exactly what I've done.
I am Wiccan, and that is a verb in my life, not a noun.
It is part of everything I DO.
When people "watch me wiccaning", they do not realize the difference. It's just me. They would tell you that I care deeply for those around me, and try to accomplish anything set in front of me. They would say I love, and guide from my heart. It is an experience, a way of life. But I am not only wiccan. I am daughter. I am sister. I am beloved. I am friend. All those are experiences as well. Not nouns.
Blessed Be.

Well, then you'd be making up a new word when perfectly good ones exist for the same purpose, and sounding rather unlearned. What would be the point of that?

Instead of "Christing", you'd be [most Christians] helping the poor, doing good works, attending services, or [some evil yet vocal 'christians'] preaching hatred, bigotry, discrimination and therefore violence against LGBT people.

I'm not in favor of creating a new word which could have two very different meanings, as in the example above.

The guiding principle for Christians is to love. That's a verb. I can't speak for anyone but myself but I display love in my life and those around me even non-Christians recognize me as a Christian without me telling them that's what I am.
