I am looking to buy a good 2cd vehicle. My needs for this vehicle are:
1. Hatch back
2. good MPG
3. reliable vehicle- (don't break down a lot)
4. Amount around 20K

Any suggestion on what vehicle might best fit my needs would be most helpful. Or if you have any experience with the Matrix.

I've had a Matrix for 3 years. It's very dependable and gets good milage.

It's a pretty no frills car though. The thing I don't like about is that it's very nosiy--lots of road noise.

Matrix is great. Very reliable, versatile and roomy. The only drawback is a slight blind spot for the driver in the left back corner due to the way the body is shaped. All my customers absolutely loved theirs. Please don't buy a Pontiac. There is a reason they are cheaper. They are crap. Matrix is a solid, fun car. It also has a composite lining in the trunk so you can haul things without messing up your interior. The rear seats also can fold completely flat so you have more cargo room. Good Luck!!!!!

Get a volkswagen golf TDi. Theyre durable, get awesome (45ish) MPG, are very reliable, and keep their value well. If you need something a bit bigger, get the Jetta Wagon TDi

the matrix isnt a bad car though.

the new rabbit TDi should be out soon (the new golf tdi) also.

oh, and the vibe is the exact same car.

It is a good car, but the Pontiac Vibe is even better with lots of equipment, and even a GT with 6 speeds.
