I've seen them and I heard about them on the subway. It made me very grateful I don't take the subway.
I guess in NYC they're doing it because everybody's loud and a lot of people are Jewish. Plus they have a literal God-given duty to make sure everyone hears the Gospel, as all Christians do in their fashion. It's just that J4J does it so deaf people in Australia can hear the Gospel, too!

Hi Jacki. I am a Christian who has given in the past to Jews for Jesus, according to the mandate of the bible. Also I receive their mailings which I find to be wonderful. I believe you so happened to encounter loud evangelists for the fact that you were in NYC. I've been to NYC and it seems everybody is loud, rude, and rushing. As a sometimes financial supporter and an always spiritual supporter of Jews for Jesus, I see nothing wrong with writing a nice letter to JFJ headquarters in San Francisco, or even to the branch office in NYC, and letting them know of your experience and of your children's reaction. I'm sure they would, as any good business or organization would, address the concern properly.
As for their beliefs, they are God's remnant who recognize Y'shua (Jesus Christ) as Messiah, whereas the remainder of Israel is blinded in part until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled. They are not only very excited to have realized their Messiah, but also feel an urgency and a mandate to share the good news with their Jewish brethren.

From my understating, Jews for Jesus is made up of Christians.
This is from Wiki "Jews for Jesus is a Christian Evangelical organization based in the United States. It was founded in 1973 by Moishe Rosen, an ordained Baptist minister of Jewish heritage who self-identifies with the Judaic tradition. The long-term goal of Jews for Jesus is one of religious conversion of all Jews to accept Jesus Christ as the Messiah — a position which is usually characterised as Christianity and is incompatible with Judaism."
They want to convert Jews to Christianity.

Here is a letter from an atheist.
"You are really convinced that you've got all the answers. You've really got yourself tricked into believing that you're 100% right. Well, let me tell you just one thing. Do you consider yourself to be compassionate of other humans? If you're right, as you say you are, and you believe that, then how can you sleep at night? When you speak with me, you are speaking with someone who you believe is walking directly into eternal damnation, into an endless onslaught of horrendous pain which your 'loving' god created, yet you stand by and do nothing.
If you believed one bit that thousands every day were falling into an eternal and unchangeable fate, you should be running the streets mad with rage at their blindness. That's equivalent to standing on a street corner and watching every person that passes you walk blindly directly into the path of a bus and die, yet you stand idly by and do nothing. You're just twiddling your thumbs, happy in the knowledge that one day that 'walk' signal will shine your way across the road.
Think about it. Imagine the horrors Hell must have in store if the Bible is true. You're just going to allow that to happen and not care about saving anyone but yourself? If you're right then you're an uncaring, unemotional and purely selfish (expletive) that has no right to talk about subjects such as love and caring."

They're so obnoxious. They accosted me once and asked if I was Jewish and why I didn't accept Jesus and all. I started laughing in their faces because I didn't know how else to react.

i visit't be afflicted to study all of your files, yet Jesus did stay and die a practising Jew. even with the undeniable fact that, that he became the Messiah isn't widely used through Judaism's criteria of what the Messiah will be (in accordance to the prophecies in the Tanakh), so if one worships him because the Messiah, they're actually not Jewish. they're Christian, as Christians have diverse criteria for his or her Messiah (as their "old testomony" isn't an same because the Tanakh). desire this helped. Peace.

I am not Jewish, but I am a Christian. I don't really think they mean any harm. They are just as joyful as I was when I asked Jesus into my life. I myself at times would love to shout it from the rooftops. No offense taken, and God bless.

Jews for Jesus are not Jews. They have to yell to try to convince the world that they're legitimate.
