I know a person directly related to me who is currently out of jail on a $4400.00 Cash Bond. There was no bondsman involved, his father paid the cash to have him released. So...This person is awaiting sentencing on 3 charges of driving on a suspended license and one count of contempt for failing to appear on one of the previous no license charges. This person has left the state of Florida where the charges are pending and is now in Texas and possibly fleeing to California fairly soon. Although no warrants have yet to be issued, I am wondering what if any information I should provide the authorities. And which authorities do I contact? I have alot of information on this persons whereabouts and a description of the car he's driving, etc, etc, etc. He has stated HE WILL NOT RETURN TO FLORIDA TO FACE HIS CHARGES. The person who paid the money to get him out is not able to be contacted for some reason. I do not know what to do!!!

Being that all this is traffic violations, I feel that the father was willing to pay the bond and let it become the fine.In other words he will be tried in his absence and the amount paid will be the fine.
Sounds as if the father didn't want his son to spend any time in jail and must be with him if you can't find him either.

They will not go after him for these violations but should he return to Fla. They can still pick him up on The failing to appear charge. Just my opinion. I am not familiar with Fla. Law.

What county?

Just saw he's already left the state. Call the local county or city dept that arrested him, you can give them all the info. Let them pass it to the State Attorney's Office. If he's caught anywhere, I'd be really surprised if FL extradited him on those charges. But, if he is caught somewhere, they'll see he's a flight risk and 3 DWLS, so maybe that state will hang on to him.

go to local bail bonds men maybe for a fee , the person can cancel the bond since he left the state and offer an award to bring the person back before trail,

Contact the arresting agency and the district attorney's office. Unfortunately, the $4400 will be lost if he doesn't show up for his court date.

Why don't you spend some of your ample time and energy in finding the person that posted the bond and ask what THEY want to do. Seeing how it is that PERSONS BUSINESS not yours!
