Well, SACD offers the best of both worlds for me. Unlike the above poster, I did my homework and discovered that most SACDs are hybrid discs that play the SACD content when I put them in my SACD player yet play the CD content when I put it into my car, computer, portable, etc.

What do I dislike about it? Not enough good titles that I really want to own. Since I already owned a surround receiver and I was buying a new DVD player, all I had to do was buy the right DVD player with the six analog patch cables. Now when I buy a disc, I always check to see what's available in SACD.

Do a search on eBay under SACD and see what pops up.

Sacd Vs Cd

SACD is great if you have a nice surround system, and want to sit and listen to an entire album, and don't mind repurchasing the disks you want to listen to.

CD has more practibility and appeals to more customers who have no patience to sit and listen for an hour or so. Also more portable and less costly then SACD.
