"Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;Speaking lies in hypocrisy;having their conscience seared with a hot iron;( Forbidding to marry),and (commanding to abstain from meats),which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

The catholics forbid to marry and certain meats were not to be eaten on certain days, so this Scripture applies to them and is found at 1 Timothy 4:1-4.

For the information of some of your responders:
The Catholic church doesn't forbid marriage to anyone. Priests can certainly marry, they just can't marry and be a priest at the same time.
There's no general prohibition against eating meat, except for a few special days, when particular dietary rules must be followed.
The ones who departed from the faith are clearly those Protestants who broke away from the true church in the latter times, rather than be obedient to it, as God requires.

The Catholic Church, which is not Christian, but the mother or harlots. This verse is found in ITimothy chapter 4. Paul also spoke of a "falling away first" before that man of sin be revealed- the antichrist. Unfortunately, this does not speak only of the Catholic Church, which was not Christian in the first place, but of many people falling into the trap of 'ecumenism' - in other words, all roads lead to Rome (NOT!) The dozens of "new bible versions" are also tools of Satan used to deceive people in these last days. They all are guilty of frightening deletions and distortions, and serve to "change the image of God into the image of man" - thus making the entrance of the antichrist (the beast) smooth sailing. Jesus didn't just tell us to pray - he said WATCH and pray.
Lu 21:36
Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
For those of you familiar with the bible, the last and final test for the men to be in Gideon's army was if they remained on the alert. So it is with all who call themselves Christians and wish to miss the terrors of the antichrist's reign.
If you wish, you can visit my 360 page and read my blog entitled "Receiving the Mark of the Beast." God bless you.

None of this is Biblical. God has not forbidden marriage, abstention from meats, lying, hypocricy nor departing from true doctrine. Ithink it must be some kind of cult. Certainly not mainstream.

I think you want the answer "Roman Catholicism", but I wish you wouldn't ask questions just for the sake of stirring up trouble.

Catholic. They are the only denomination that I know of in which the priests can't marry and fast a lot.
