I am sorry that you are put in a difficult situation at an even more difficult time.
I would sit down with her and explain that you are dealing with your divorce in your own way and that you understand that she wants to help you but your divorce is something that you have to deal with on your own to allow you to cope with the situation. Tell her it is your way of putting things to rest and you have to do it alone.

Of course you can. A divorce is hard enough on the person going through it , you do not need anyone else tearing away at you. Just tell her that if you made the decision to marry then you can make the decision to divorce and to stay out of it. You really should not worry about telling her to leave you alone .

You are an adult, be one. Tell mother you do not need her advise in this situation. She probably means well, so be nice when you explain to her your divorce is something that you will have to work out. After all she is your mom. In her eyes you are still her little child.

Just tell your mother calmly on the phone or in person that you would appreciate it if she would just let you handle the situations of the divorce and that you don't need her help, and if you do you'll ask for it.

Yes you can do that you are an adult. Tell her that you really do appreciate all the support and love she is givving you and you understand that she is making sure you dont get anymore hurt that is neccessary, but this is something that you have to handle all by yourself just ask her for her continued support. she may be alittle hurt at the time but she should come around and be there for you in the end.

I suspect if you had been able to tell your mother to butt out you maybe wouldn't be having a divorce. You're an adult - tell her so.

Tell her it's not her job to oversee you divorce. It is her job, as your mother, to be there if you need her. And when you need her, she'll be the first to know.
