Because us non attractive dudes have a personality and are funny. Also we have nothing to lose when we talk to a hot girl because she is going to say no anyway so when she says yes. Well we just get all happy inside and girls want to feel apreciated.

Most "hot" dudes know they are hot and that makes them unattractive. The "non attractive" guys are usually nice and appreciate their women. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
