The voices I hear???

If I'm not hearing the voice of God, then who exactly am I hearing?

You are hearing your own voice. The unevolved brain lacked a well functioning bridge between the left side and the right side. Therefore, theory leads us to believe that people actually 'heard' a voice just behind their left ear, telling them what action to take. this would happen to a cave man while he was in a situation of dire risk. One side of the brain controlled recognizing the risk (cave lion!) and formulating a plan to evade the risk (run!) while the other side of the brain controlled the physical action needed to be taken. Because the bridge was not well developed, in a time of crises the brain circumvented the under evolved bridge, and the likeness of a voice was heard in the caveman's ears. So, assuming that you are not a caveman, and that your brain is as well developed as most, if you seriously hear voices...maybe it is time for a check up.

Whether you're hearing the voice of God or not depends on what the voice is telling you. Does what you are hearing line up with the Bible? If not, disregard what you are hearing. We can know for certain that God has spoken to us through His written Word.

I went through a 1 yr break down with voices & visions years ago.

If they are confusing, racing, jibberish, intimidating, telling you to do evil things, etc... then it is not God, The Father, Son & Holy Ghost. God may have allowed these voices because you had fallen away from God & decided to pray again after about 10 years. When God shines His light on you when you pray, things get revealed. That is what happened to me anyway.

The voice of God comes when one has received the free gift of everlasting life through Jesus Christ, Son of God, who shed His own blood for the remission of our sins. God gives the Spirit of truth & comfort to His children. God's voice becomes more aparent as we study His Word about who He Is. Realizing how He loves us. When we are filled with the Holy Spirit, then we pray to God in Spirit & Truth. Then we have spiritual ears to hear God & to discern a lieing spirit. There are tests to be done. Every spirit that denies the Father & the Son is a Spirit of antichrist. Every spirit that denys Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God is a spirit of antichrist. Test the prophets to see if they are hearing from God. Do they try to lead you away from God's love & gift of everlasting life?

Dear Psychosis: Except in direct Revelation we do not hear God's voice. Direct Revelation is given to those who are purified in thought. Revelations are indirectly inspired by Jesus because He is close to the Holy Spirit and alert to the Revelation-readiness of His brothers. The Holy Spirit mediates higher to lower communication, keeping the direct channel from God to you open for Revelation when Jesus has notified Him we are ready.

The Holy Spirit is the Voice for God. He resides in your higher mind and is a non-tonal, perhaps, whispery voice that can be heard when you train yourself to listen for Him. Otherwise, He will lend you His thoughts and you will hear them as your own. However, His thoughts are your Conscience and higher thinking. Even though it seems like your own thoughts, you will notice that its a type of thought you don't think you could have ever thought of, yourself! It's clarification on things that confuse you. It's Guidance on things to do when you can't figure out what to do. In other words, His thoughts, lent to you, are recognized to be from "somewhere else." I could never have thought of that, myself, you'll find yourself exclaiming! If the thought is for your highest good and the highest good of everyone involved - it's His thought being fed to you. Our ego (human-mind) thoughts are never as loving, kind, gentle and considerate of others as what He lends to you.

Jesus is heard in his own tone of voice. When He speaks to you, there are no questions in your mind.

All three - speak only of higher thoughts. That is the best rule of thumb for deciding upon the genuine-ness of what you have heard. Also, the thoughts come in stillness and peacefulness. They are calm, certain, and very healthy.

take the cassete or whatever, available of the Holy
Quran, listen to it,
(take care if you have headphone on Dont remove them at any cost, till you hear one full surah, otherwise U will loose 'an egg and shell')
whether u unbderstand or not....You will surely know exactly whom you are hearing.

probly the devil or your consience. Believe in God and he will stop those voices. it says in the bible do not fear because God is always with u.
