He did not create a "tree of evil"...
He did, however, set a boundary that we were to not cross. He did it because He wanted us to believe in Him, obey Him, love Him, follow Him of our own free will. Without law, there can be no exercise of will.
The name used in scripture for the boundary is called the "tree of knowledge of good and evil". If you're going to reference something, do it correctly.

There is no such thing as a tree of evil, you are misinformed if you were told that. There is the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. God prevented everyone from having sin forever by having Adam and Eve leave the Garden so that they wouldn't eat from the Tree of Life, which would make their condition eternal, and have no chance of restoration back to perfection. God is very loving in that He covered their nakedness and sin, and later provided a chance to be restored. Better take another look at things...

One, it was not the tree of evil. The furit of that tree gave the person who ate it extreme wisdom. God created the tree as a test. Like when your mom buys a new pack of coockies and puts them in the cookie jar where their clearly visible, and still tells you not to eat any! The snake that came to Eve and then Adam promised them that by eating the fruit they would gain knowledge like that of God himself. The tree was put there so that God could test his creation and see if they would really follow their creator, or stray from his commands. If you ask me, be eating from the tree Adam and Eve, were the ones being not loving and even disrespectful to a God who gave them everything they could ask for.

WHEN ( not if ) God created everything, ( He knows everything, we do not )(and He is all loving ) He created the tree of knowledge... He did it because He can. He wanted to give us a free will. He gave us a choice.
He warned Adam and Eve. He did not want them to know anything about pain and suffering. Eve was deceived by the serpent. Satan is working like that even today. And he uses little boys like you to help him. Eve blamed the serpent, Adam blamed Eve...isn't it so easy to blame others?
God is God, no matter what you think about Him. If you do not like how God operates...too bad, but you can only say that you do not like it. You cannot prove Him wrong. How would you handle everything? Would you give a free will to people? What is more loving than allowing people to chose??

the tree was not evil it was the tree of knowledge. If Adam and Eve hadn't eaten from the tree we'd all be running around naked today and not even know it. lol. God had a backup plan to send Jesus to die for our sins so that we would be able to be saved.

If there were no evil, how would you have a choice to do only good?...
How would Adam and Eve have children while in the Garden of Eden?.. it was not until they were kicked out that Eve was given the gift of bearing children...
And God provided his ONLY Begotten Son, Jesus Christ to save all people from sin.. if they will only accept him and follow the commandments...
You HAD a thumbs up for your question... right up until you put in your link... and I then I thought that this is an advertisement for your link.

The Tree of Evil is religious. In reality, there is no Tree of Evil. From the religious standpoint, without the Tree of Evil, Evil would be unexplained. Mankind needed to explain wrongdoing and "discovered" the Tree of Evil. Wanting further to explain how the "Tree" came into existance, Mankind, not wanting to be found responsible, deemed God, their Creator, also created the "Tree."

You people sure love to twist things around to your purpose, don't you? He did not create the tree of evil, it was the tree of knowledge. Adam and Eve didn't even realize they were naked until they ate of it.

there wass know tree of evil in the garden of eden my friend. the two trees mentioned specifcaly are the tree of life and the tree of knowledge of god and evil. God commanded Adam and Eve not to eat of the Tree of knowledge, but satan tempted them and they ate it anyway, and humanity became infected with sin

What is the point of having a creation where people are forced to love you and have no concept of free will? The tree of knowledge was to put a choice into the equasion.
For the record, I am not a Christian; I just appreciate the stories and symbolism in the Bible. Nearly every Western religion has a story where humanity is punished for choosing knowledge over ignorance--not just Christianity.
