i left the dentist at 4 and its now 6:22 and my mouth is still numb , is that normal?

I just left the dentist at 3 and I just started to get the feeling back about 1 hour ago (7PM). I think it is different for everyone and how much of the medicine you were given. I feel your pain...Hope you are feeling better soon.

You can be numb for up to 5 or 6 hours.

It all depends what type of anesthesia was used.Each type of anesthesia wears off in different amounts of time, some longer lasting than others. I was still feeling the effects of one type for 4 hrs after!

it usually takes around 4-6 hours to leave your gums depending on what you had done
