its a long answer let me type it up for you...

all women ovulate 14 days before there next period starts if you have regular periods it is easy to figure out but if not it is better to use another method to predict ovulation (like dip sticks, or basil body temp. charting. when using ovulation tests you begin testing about 18 days before your next preiod and test every day, with basil body temperature you take your temperature every day you are not on your period)

with pregnancy tests, you should test the first day of your missed period and if that is negetive test again in one week. (no pregnancy test is accurate before you miss your period and that includes blood tests from a doctors office)

there are alot of things that happen to the baby and the mother before the baby is born, too many to discuss them all here but I will give you some links to look at that tell more about it.

You dont know exactly when you ovulate, unless you take an ovulation test (which is a test you can buy at the drug store). However, if you have a normal period cycle (meaning you get your period about every 28 days) then you usually ovulate somewhere around 14 days after the first day of your last period. So, say you get your period on a sunday, well, you are likely to be ovulating 2 weeks after that. However, that is only if you have a really regular period. In terms of taking a pregnancy test, most of the time women dont take one unless their periods are unusually late. What is "unusual" is different for each woman, it just depends on the normal routine of her menstrual cycle. If a woman has a really regular cycle, than being a week late, may be extremely late for her, while other women can miss a period for even a month and that isnt out of the ordinary for them. After a woman gets a positive test, she should call an obstetrician and make an appointment to get another test done at the doctor's office so he can make sure she is really pregnant. They also check the mom and the baby to make sure the baby is growing okay. The mother will go to the doctor about once a month at the beginning and then about once a week at the end of the pregnancy. What happens after you get pregnant is normally about 6 weeks into the pregnancy, women start to have symptoms of being pregnant. These include nausea, vomiting, tender breasts, bloating, and gas. Though not all women have symptoms. Then, your belly begins to grow...some women notice this as early as two months pregnant, but for some women it is 4 or 5 months. Usually the nausea passes by about 4 months into the pregnancy. The baby continues to grow in the mom's stomach and so her stomach gets bigger and bigger. This can become pretty uncomfortable towards the end and you also have to pee alot because the baby is pressing on your bladder!! ha ha. And then the mother will start having contractions, usually around 9 months pregnant and the contractions move the baby out of her stomach and she gives birth. Feel free to email me if you have any more questions.

I don't think this is a real question....you're 11?????

Even if you have periods yet, which you may not yet. You're body isn't ready to have a baby.

You're at risk for a miscarriage, deformed baby, or a baby that dies early. You're body is just not ready for a baby.

You need to think about how fair it would be for a baby to have such a young mom, a child herself.

Also, having sex that young puts you at risk for cervical cancer.

If you really are 11 years old and thinking you want a baby, it may be because you want something to love. Especially if you lost your mom, that is really sad and I'm sorry that happened to you.

Losing a parent can make you grow up fast, but don't give up being a kid too soon! You have many years of fun and freedom before you get saddled by a kid.

I love being a mom, but sweetheart, at 11 you need a mom, not to be a mom. I'm sorry you lost yours, but maybe you can find a family friend, or someone from a local church to spend time with you. No one can ever replace your mom, but you can find good friends to help.

Usually a woman ovulates 2 weeks after the first day of her period but that's never completely accurate. Generally home pergnancy tests allow you to test as soon as you've missed a period. The baby is an embryo until 8 weeks gestation and thereafter it is a fetus. Women start showing at about 4 months from when they concieved (average) and at about 4-5 months they can tell the sex of the baby by ultrasound. This is also about the time women start feeling the baby kicking. I really don't know what else you want to know about it- you can email me though, if you want. Sorry you don't have a mom to tell you these things, but I'll tell you anything you want to know.

You are old enough to see a doctor without your father being in the room. Ask your father to make an appointment with your doctor and ask your doctor to explain it. You also will be having these things come up at school in health class or family living or what ever they call it now. There are some great web sites that can also give you the information. Hopefully it is not you "trying to get pregnant" as you are MUCH too young.

oh sweetie, u ought not think of such things at an early age. but i will tell you , after you have missed ur monthly, u go to the dr. he will test u, and if you are pregnant, you will keep going to him for the next 7 8 months. and when u have the baby, it will be natural child birth, with no pain meds, or they can give you meds for pain, and then you give birth, which is very painful, then depending on how good ur insurance is, is how long u stay in the hospital 2 to 5 days, then you go home. that is if all goes well. having children before you graduate college is a big mistake, you want to be able to provide for your baby, so that means there is alot for you to learn, and when you can take care of yourself with money left over, then you might be ready. if you ever need to talk, you can email me, you broke my heart about ur mother, I'm sorry for your loss

You're definitely at the age to have the right answers to your questions. If you don't have someone you can talk to, like an aunt or grandmother I would suggest you go to your local Planned Parenthood and they can answer any questions you might have if you feel comfortable talking with someone. They're not there to judge you but to inform you. They have many booklests on various subjects and they don't give out your personal information to anyone! There is also a website you can visit and it might help you as well. Teen pregnancy is one of the biggest problems facing youths today. It's better to know all the facts and educate yourself.

Princess....... "11" oh my gosh! I'ld rather explain how to not get that way to you than explain whats going to happen if you do! I know it must be hard without a mom, but dad's are part of the process of bringing that little baby into this world too! Do you love your Dad? Can you talk to him, I think you "need" to! PLEASE?.....Be a little girl! I think you might be "lonely" and might be thinking of wanting to be a "mommy" yourself so you would have something to "love" and someone to love you back! You miss your mom! Talk to your dad PLEASE?

On the day you ovulate your temperature changes slightly, and the mucus membrane inside changes consistency.

Do you have a female relative or close family friend you can ask? Maybe your family doctor?
