Of course you want both...but if it came down to it...which would take priority. Particularly if the intelligence came with a nice income?

But onehanginglo, firstly most women with money are intelligent enough as well to figure you out. When you're looking for something like that you need to be well established yourself. I think its awful that men usually want women that are hot, intelligent and rich. And then i look at the men asking for that and i'm like... 'maybe you should work on yourself first'.
And thats not meant ta be rude. Simple and to the point. If you want a woman like that good for you.
Personally the women i've been attracted to in my time are intelligent. Because i enjoy a decent conversation.
I can't connect with someone that doesn't know how to converse about well...everything or nearly so.
So there you have it. I'll hand this back to the guys. And for those of you guys that said intelligence you kick ***! I'm sure some of you are lying or fibbing a little but all is well.

Thats a tough one, If the man had money he would most certainly go for Beauty, if the guy was a broke-*** he would probably go for the intelligent girl.

I think that it is true that men like women that are less intelligent. Just so they have some kind of power over them.

that is what I think other men think, however I do not feel the same way. Looks are important, but only to a point, unless the girl is like 250lbs or more.

Intelligence wins everytime. A hot chick is great to look at, but if she can't hold a decent conversation whats the point really? Regardless of income, intelligence wins. When the good looking woman is 50 and her **** is sagging, her boobs are held up by her belt, you can't talk to her, because well there is nothing there to talk to. Where as the intelligent woman at 50 is still intelligent, and no doubt a lot wiser than she was at 25.

Intelligence has to take priority. After all you have to spend A LOT of time with this person, connect with them, etc. Looks will only go so far.

As for a man preferring her to be less intelligent than himself, maybe some men feel that way, but I think that shows a confidence issue. Besides, intelligence is such a complex thing that it might well be difficult to make a truly accurate comparison. For me the important thing would be that she's intelligent and that we are compatible.

I don't know about other men but I would certainly take brains over beauty anyday of the week. Beauty will fade over time, and there are a lot of problems with people trying to retain their beauty. But brains are there forever and you can communicate when your old and not as good looking as in your youth. Income is not important to this fellow either as everything will fall into place as it is needed, but perhaps not always as we want it.
