Excellent question!

Personally, I have not changed my philosophical world-view.

Sometimes, I stumble across a question or an answer that lets me learn something new, but that hasn't really happened in the Religion & Spirituality section.

However, this section has encouraged me to do more research into some things though. For example, it prompted me to make my latest video... "Why do Atheists care about Religion". I kept seeing that question pop up here on Y Q&A, so I thought I'd make a video of it and the video required a bit of research...

I doubt that anyone has, I know that I have not.

Hmmm... lemme see...

I would GUESS...

There are about 60 questions per hour and about 2 or 3 percent of them are serious (like yours, actually seeking knowledge or understanding)...

For every question, perhaps 15 to 60 percent of the answers are serious (depends upon the question)...

After wading through so much stuff, my brain does not really think about the answers or the questions for very long... definately not long enough for it to affect my own beliefs...

but then, my own beliefs are very firm and not prone to change easily... I am not SEARCHING for a new religion or for answers to mine or anyone elses religion...

I've only asked 4 questions and answered about 1700... with Best Answer for 95 of those... and not all of those are in this category...

so looking at that, my own contribution to help someone decide has been very small and I would not expect them to have even read my answers because they would be gone quickly along with the questions that I answered...

the oldest question I see is about 20 minutes old... I rarely click to see the next page of questions past them...

I'm probably pretty typical of readers here.

I haven't changed my beliefs, but I've learned more about the beliefs of others. Once in a great while, someone actually takes the time to give a serious, well thought-out answer, and it can be rather interesting.

I learned that some Christians believe Hitler could have made it into heaven.

I've also learned that when Christians want you to convert, they want you to believe in -their- interpretation, not someone else's.

I've learned that God doesn't care what I do with my life, as long as I convert/repent before I die.

All of this from Christians, it has changed the degree of respect I have for the religion in general. I've learned to respect it less.

On the other hand, I've learned there are a very very few number of people here who understand Christianity to be something more than the above. I have great respect for them.

No change in beliefs, just learned that there are other people that defend their beliefs with circular reasoning and are satisfied with their answers. And there are some people who I disagree with, but have valid points. So I've learned, and learning is good.

I did believe that most people have some sort of general understanding of faith, and therefore base their beliefs on that understanding.

I've changed my belief on this subject, thanks to Yahoo Answers. Since I've participated in this forum, I've learned that many people have no clue as to what they believe and why they believe it. They are nothing more than parrots for some other source that influences their thinking far more than they realize.

Nope...I've learned however that you don't need to have a bible in your hand to be an ***, also that there are some decent folks out there on the christian side.

No, just confirmed my already held belief that most Christ Cultists are blissful idiots who dont deserve to share the same air as me.

Not changed, but improved. It shows me how much God loves us. Can you imagine being a loving parent and hearing the hateful, nasty, ugly things from a beloved child, that He is witness to every second from a myriad of mocking hateful children? It hurts me for Him.
