I just bought 16 jumbo organic mangoes for 69 cents each!! Now I want to dry them. It's not sunny enough to do this outside, so I plan to heat them in the oven at maybe 150F for several hours.

Is this the right temperature? Should i line the baking tray with wax paper? I"m not much of a cook, never really done anything like this before. Any help is appreciated :)

Your mangoes will not dry properly, you need a food dehydrator.

I'm not much of a cook either, but I would guess that a wire rack sort of thing might work better than a baking tray. Other than that, I think the temperature is right--not hot enough to cook but hot enough to foster the moisture evaporating.
