Wow - can you put a real pic up so we can get an idea what a complete moron really looks like? At the moment we are struggling to maintain a position in Iraq. Afghanistan just isn't working. We have to prevent people leaving the army at the end of their tour, because you can't get soldiers to replace them, and you say something like that? Actually half the countries our young people can't even find on a map, the standard of education in the US has so abysmally low. On top of that our school system is almost bankrupt and public healthcare non existent. Pension plans are going broke and Ford is laying off workers and closing plants. And you honestly think we have power?

I am also tired of every single country telling us how to maintain world peace. Let us take Iran for example...how long do you wait until diplomacy is no longer an option. Suppose we wait until they have dropped a nuke on Israel? Better yet, why not wait until they are dropping missles off the Pacific coast? Maybe then, France or the U.N. will be "willing" to give "us" the authority to diminish the threat....though by then we will be locked in a costly ground campaign to sniff out the nukes. Then and only then, will we once again hear the protests about a costly ground war from our beloved left-wingers. Oh...by the way...I am not a fan of the war in Iraq. Wrong place...wrong time.

Actually I find your comment embarrassing. Listen, I am proud to be an American. I love this country and I would give my life in it's defense. We are a strong nation, we all know that. There is no reason to rub anyone elses nose in it. This is an international forum and our friends and enemies both see what is posted here. Our friends don't need to be told how "tough" we are and our enemies don't need to know. When you make a comment such as you made it is like a challenge to anyone from another country who reads it. Do you really want to represent your country by acting like a schoolyard bully or a barroom punk? Trust me..you go in any bar and sit down then announce that you can beat anyone in the place, someone is going to give you the opportunity to prove it. We don't need to look for opportunities to use our military might, they find us soon enough. Only a fool wants war. Overconfidence can kill you. Anyone who is too confident is easy to beat, because he has no heart. You surprise him by damaging him in a way he didn't expect and he folds. Nazi Germany thought they could beat any country in the world too. War is a struggle. Having confidence in your fellow troops because you know the kind of people they are is one thing, being too self assured is quite another. Because just like that punk in the bar, someone is going to come along and knock him off his stool. In war you must be prepared for more fight out of your enemy than you believe he is capable of waging.

Of course! That is why the other countries fear and hate us. The USA is the greatest country in the history of the world and has become the dominant superpower in less time than any other. As long as the intellectual apologists don't bring us down we will raise the IQ and living standard of the world.

Well, no we couldn't conquer China or India(just plain too big) with out nuking them to glass, so the answer is a definite no.
Further more with the military being responsible to a democratically elected civilian government there are certain nations (most of them) that would require extraordinary circumstances for the US to take action.

We are the strongest nation militarily in the world and yet we only use this power when threatened. The world should be very grateful that we are the ones with the most power and not China or Russia or the middle East

Not all. China could Invade this country and hold it for maybe a year or two. Canada would also be a challenge. Anyway, war usually doesn't solve much.

Jesus, you people still exist.
Listen. Sit down, chill out. Heres a brief lesson in how the REAL world works, ok?
Their is no such thing as 'beating' a country. If you mean a violent conflict, then America can perhaps outgun most, but not all, nations. Hell, you guys couldnt fight France, they'd just Nuke you, so you what does that prove?

the us can beat any country except itself....and sooner or later, because of greed economic irresponsibility, lack of a cohesive culture, moral laziness and stupidity, america will fall from within. i expect that first, around 2080 or so there will be a series of civil wars.

i think most educated americans would laugh their ar*e off at you (or a*s in your spelling) and dont wish it hun, cause many are quite willing and able to crush you - take a good look at the chinese - a highly educated race, large population and a huge millitary force...............just because they arent egotistic nob heads doesnt mean you shouldnt be concerned of what they could do to you if they wanted to.........and really you should put more energy into working out how to stop planes landing in your buildings ( god knows the brits have helped you out in this department)
also if America is so strong why do you always call on the other countries to help you out in a crisis.....most of us werent under a terror threat till we were called on to help you out!
