Kool-Aid has too much sugar in it to benefit you in the way plain water does. If you opt for a sugar free/fat free drink that is water based, it would be the same.

Short answer: KoolAid is made from sugar and chemicals for flavor. It tastes great. Is it good for ya? No.
LONG ANSWER:
On February 24 and February 27, 2006, EWG purchased the following drinks at four major retail outlets in Washington, DC. They all contained ascorbic acid and either sodium benzoate or potassium benzoate—the ingredients that the FDA and the beverage industry have said can mix together to form benzene, a known human carcinogen. The actual levels of benzene formed in these products may be at trace levels and well within legal limits for drinking water.
A few of the products tested were:
# Kool-Aid Jammers Blue-Raspberry
# Kool-Aid Jammers Cherry
# Kool-Aid Jammers Grape
# Kool-Aid Jammers Orange

Kool-aide is sugar water. Doctors want you to drink above and beyond your normal drinks. They wantyou to drink 8 glasses of clear water, as well as what you normally drink.

I wouldnt recommend that, kool aid usually has a lot of sugar and sodium in it. You need fresh, clean water to really do the trick.

Sure. The only problem is that you're adding a buttload of calories through sugar. Kool-Aid is yummy, but you should probably keep your consumption at a minimum.

No. And none of that Crystal Light stuff, either. If you want some sort of flavor, try a splash of fruit juice or lemon slices.

No that wouldn't work. It's full of sugar, and sodium, etc. Plus just drinking juice all day, eventually you'll get dehydrated.
