We would like to get tips from someone that maybe has been in this situation or knows about it.
My husband is recruiting and he absolutely HATES it and I do too because he's never home. He said he will ask to be sent back to Sea as soon as possible, but he told me that it make take a few months for us to get an answer. Is there a way to expedite that request?

My good lady, the last thing you should be doing is asking about your husbands naval service on a public forum. It is highly irregular. You may earn your husband a ten year assignment in Diego Garcia and you'll never get to see him. Please remember that a grateful population appreciates the fact that he has answered the call to duty gallantly I might add. Recruiting in the navy (from three hundred years ago) has never been easy, hence the importance of him doing this current assignment with pride.
And I was a little surprised that you say he is never home yet you want him returned to sea - will you be on the same boat with him?

If you're by any chance (either of you) are somewhat ashamed of the recruiting task I beg you to rethink. It is a noble task that marks the beginning of any fine navy.
P.S. I was best man to a fine gentleman who is a US Army Recruiter (I'm not even American!!!). And guess what? We have tons of fun thinking up new ideas for attracting new recruits.

God bless the both of you in this limited sacrifice you're doing for your country.

Lady, he works about 8-9 hours a day as a recruiter, if he isn't home more, then there is something terribly wrong.....you better watch him.....I know, I was a recruiter for the Navy 5 years....back in the 80's.....and unless things have changed a hell of a lot, he is lying to you.....there might be days that are long.....but nothing you would want him out at sea for 6-10 months at a time over

Let me get this straight: You dont like him to be a recruiter because he is never home and you guys wanna get him sent back on sea duty? Does that make sense to you? How does an 18 month deployment sound to you? If he goes back to sea, he could be away for months and months at a time. Be thankful. At least hes on shore.

Your husband should, by going up the chain of command, talk with this commanding officer.
