I usually eat about two to three salads a day and fruit in between. I dont put dressing on it or any meat. Its just plain old lettuce with lemon and few different fruits through out the day. Would I gain weight from that?

No.

Fruits and vegetables help you burn your fats. It keeps metabolism going. Meaning you burn fats while at rest because of your metabolism.

Note: To keep your metabolism going, eat every three hours. Eat less, like half of what you usually eat, because you will eat after 3 hours. You will not feel hungry.

The point is to keep your metabolism going. If you starve yourself, metabolism will stop burning fats.

Good luck!

Pretty much all vegetables are very low in calories, typically less than 30 calories per 100 grams.. Fruit has more calories but is still low, typically less than 75 calories per 100 grams. The notable exception is avocado pears which are something like 220 calories per 100 grams. Avoid nuts - these are very high in calories, usually more calories in nuts than in sugar.

As for whether you could get fat - you'd have to be eating huge amounts and doing no exercise at all.

If anything you might not be getting enough calories and without enough calories you'll feel tired and lethargic and not have enough energy. A calorie is actually a measure of energy so too few means you'll have too little energy.

An average adult female leading a moderately active lifestyle shod consume 1800 to 2000 calories a day. Less if you're slim or have a small frame, more if you're a larger lady or are physically active.

Well, rabbits get fat on that kind of diet, and they are mammals too. But they eat their own weight in food each day, and you don't seem to be doing that.
But the more important question is, why are you on such a strict diet? And such a poor diet? Lettuce doesn't have much nutritional value. It's mostly water and cellulose. And a few different fruits during the day are not meeting your body's needs by any stretch of the imagination. If you are trying to lose weight, there are much better ways to do it than by a self-imposed semi-starvation diet. And that is what you are describing.
Have you talked with a doctor about whether or not you need to lose weight? Some girls manage to convince themselves they are fat when in fact they have only the normal amount of body fat that is needed for good health. If you do, indeed, need to lose weight, get advice from a nutritionist, your family doctor, or one of the Weight Watcher or Jennie Craig type of places that help you plan your meals so you have a sound diet. There's no point in dropping a lot of weight if you don't need to. Scarecrows aren't very pretty. And if you do need to drop weight, there's no point in making yourself sick. That's no fun either. So please get a bit of professional advice about what you should do. Obviously you have a strong will power, and will be able to make a success out of whatever they suggest.
Good luck to you!

That diet will not work, however, I will tell you about one that might. Google South Beach diet, look for the second or third link, when you find the flip-flops you are there. Follow the Phase 1 diet religiously, drink about 6 ounces of skim or 1 percent milk each day with what you find there. I bet you lose 4 pounds in 7 days. You can continue on Phase 1 for two weeks, but don't do it longer, continue to Phase 2 and start adding a little whole wheat bread and piece of fruit 3 times a week and see if you continue to lose 1-2 pounds a week. Eat dry-roasted almonds in between meals, only 10-12 almonds and twice a day to keep your digestion going. I lost 10 pounds first two weeks, a pound every week since, now down 27 pounds and I just feel a little hungry sometimes. You can use South Beach to teach you how to eat for the rest of your life. I am doing it.

You can only gain weight if you eat more calories than your body can burn - simple as that. Eat low calorie items to excess and you will put on weight. About 2000calories for a man is ok. Thats a lot of lettuce and fruit.

Fruit and iceberg lettuce in particular contain a lot of water but not a lot of essential nutrients you will be sure to lose weight cause all you are ingesting is basically sugar water.. your body will become malnourished if you keep to this trend your body needs a balanced diet with lean meats carbs for energy and rich colorful fruits and veggies

Lettuce has no nutritional value whats so ever. That why people lose weight eating salads. Fruits help you lose weight, I dont think you can get fat from them. Maybe if you eat ALOT of fruit.

If I say no and someone else says yes then who is right. See this site to really understand why the answer is no and what else is included with this gain no fat diet.

If you want to add protein try some (not a lot) hard fruits like nuts, seeds and beans. You can eat raw nuts and seeds, Use on your salad some raw tahini (raw sesame seed butter). In Middle East, it is fit for kings. Health food stores have it even with hummus (from chickpeas) added to it.

You can't from lettuce, because it is 90% water. To much fruit can cause you to gain weight. Eat all things in moderation.

well, first of all, you need to make sure you are getting a balanced diet. You still need protein and carbohydrates of some sort, not just fruit sugars. If you don't have nuts and beans in your salads, you aren't getting any protein, which you need to grow and maintain healthy muscles.

So, yes, an unbalanced diet of too many calories can still make you fat. And lack of protein will start to make you feel very tired.
