i know its a sad situation to deal with . i am an animal lover myself. and it feels like you are giving up your baby. but my belief is that if you think he would be loved and taken care of the way he needs to be then yes i would because it would be in the best intrest of the animal. he would then get the care, love and attention he needs. itll be lonely for a while for all of you but in the end itll make it worth it . good luck

Check out the perspective owner and have her give you a vet reference.
Call the vet to make usre she took good care of her lst pet. That is got heartworm preventative and all its shots and such.
Go to her home and do a home inspection and look around to see if the yard is fenced or what ever you think is important.
Then write up a contract stateing that if for any reason she can not keep the dog she will call you and you will take it back.
Make a visit after a few months to see how the dog is doing.
This is what we do at our rescue and it works pretty well.
The dog belongs with someone who has time to care for it and it is very hard to place one but it sounds like the pet would be better off and a lady could get a wonderful companion.

I agree with Sweet, if you dont think you have time for your puppy, you should find someone who can. Animals take a lot of time and love, only one of which you have. If this lady can care for the Min Pin the way you could if you didnt work full time, i would do it. Maybe you can have visitation or come play with him during the weekend, or she can give you updates to how he is doing.

Well, you are considering it if you are asking the question, so do it.

Flip a coin, think "heads, I give dog away, tails I keep it." Then when you see what the coin flip was, what is your first reaction/emotion to that.

It works. Let me know if you want, I'm curious.
