Read The Target Diet by Covert Bailey, and subsequent books by him. I don't think you understand how calorie burning works. Basically, if you burn more calories than you consume, you should lose weight. The key is exercise and eating the right foods. And proper rest. Mr. Bailey will guide you the proper way.

Technically, you can eat (almost) anything and still burn the calories.Though the only people I have seen that can do that are people who are naturally slender (skinny) and long distance runners. These people have to eat alot because they have little or no fat on them to burn.
But back to your question. It looks to me that you are doing all this exercise because of your diet.Unless you are in some kind of sport that requires you to do all this exercise.I wouldn't do aerobics for 2 hours. The vigorious walking would be good before dinner or you could do a less strenuous walk after dinner.Helps with digestion. What you are doing now is that you are having a battle between your exercise and the food you eat.Sooner or later the food wins. If you don't see positive change on your body, eventually you will stop exercising.
Just cut back on the aerobics, and eat more of the right foods.Eat about 5 to 6 times a day. That doesn't mean 5 to 6 meals. It means fruit or other healthy stuff between your regular meals. That hot dog, has the calories of more than one regular meal. But all your getting is fat(the hot dog and the chili)and starch(the bun).Obviously the onions don't count as a significant amount of vegetables.
Your body now has to burn the calories fron the hot dog and nothing else.Your body won't even burn the fat that is stored in you.One of the activities your body does to burn calories is digestion. The more good food you eat, the more your body has to work to digest that food. And eating the right food means that your body has to burn more calories during digestion than what the food you ate contained.
Sorry my answer took longer than you might have expected.

As long as you burn more calories than you take in, you will lose weight. First law of physics! And as long as you cover all the food groups and get solid nutrition, it doesn't matter what else you eat -- except, of course, that some foods are better for you than others. There's nothing really wrong with hotdog, chili and onions for a meal. Just make sure you get some fresh fruit and veggies somewhere throughout the day. And of course, with all the exercising you're doing, make sure you are drinking lots of water, and the odd workout supplement, just to cover yourself on the trace elements and minerals that leach out of the body with excessive sweat.
Sounds like you've got a pretty good handle on things.

It's all about the calorie count- how many calories you take in how many you burn. It really doesn't matter what you eat, if you eat under a certain amount of calories.
The trick is you can eat more food if it is lower in calories. So you could have had a hotdog that is fat free ( about 100 calories) and some low fat chili and that would actually be a great meal.

The key to losing wieght is the frequency you eat between meals. Try to eat 6 times a day in controlled portions, high in fiber and protiens, low in carbs and saturated fats. Every three hours is ideal. I have an easy way of dieting, I call it my sandwich diet, lol. I start the day with a bowl of high in fiber cereal, low fat milk. Then I eat turkey sandwiches every three hours with nothing but lettuce tamatoes onions etc. and you can eat mustard on that as well(be sure to eat whole grain). NO MAYO. Then eat lean for dinner. The most important thing is watching saturated fats though remember. I lost 40 pounds in about 5 months its incredible, the weight just falls off you. Good Luck

As long as you burn more calories than you consume, you will lose weight. This does not necessarily mean you can just eat junk, because there are other health concerns, and your body needs a healthy balanced diet to thrive. You could eat 1500 calories worth of candy, but this isn't healthy. You just have to think about the other factors besides calories, such as fat, saturated fat, cholesterol, sodium, sugar, etc. It's vital not to consume too much of these other things.

Sometimes that small gut does not go away because it is the extra skin that our fat cell were carried in. I try to replace junk food with fruits, vegetables, and nuts. I take weekends off and indulge in some of the foods I love and I fast on Mondays. I need to fast for spiritual reasons but it also keeps my weight in balance. A good book I have used is the Diet Alternative by Diane Hampton.

You are not helping yourself, that's for sure.

When I was younger, I used to think that as long as I consumed less calories than I was burning, I was doing just great and it didn't matter where the calories came from.

Of course, it's not just a numbers game. Yes, you will lose weight if you burn more calories than you consume BUT, if the calories come from things bad for you: like chocolate, alcohol, or fats (all my favorites I have to admit), then you will end up with a skinny but UNHEALTHY body. It's much better to consume your calories by eating fresh fruits, veggies, lean meats, etc.

Things you do now to your body will come back to haunt you later on (....learned this the hard way!)

No! If you do, you are just going to stay the same weight, or gain pounds. If you are losing calories and eating better, you will lose more weight and faster than burning like 10 times the amount of calories and eat w/e you want.
