Not a dentist but have implants and know a bit about this topic.

You can actually get as little as two and as many as 8 for your upper plate and it is paletless.

Might give you some ideas.

American! There are different kinds of implants and depending on your bone structure and density, the dentist would have to evaluate the best implant for the job. There are also other factors with the type of denture or bridge placement on the implants. You can opt for the bridge and not cover the palate, or 2 dentures to pick from, one covering the entire palate or a horseshoe type. Personally the amount of implants and type all depend on your structure- average cost in IL for a complete upper $14-20 thousand American dollars.

Well I am not american but I live here and I know somethings about dentistry.
Usually if you need full dentures there will be placed 2 implants on each side of the gum (left and rigth) upper and lower side for a total of 4.
Dentures are made to fit the implants and lock into them, so they don't move around.
(Upper denture has a palate).
Tha cost is high, usually one implant costs about $2000 to $4000 but it varies depending on the place and the dentist

IT DEPENDS ON WHICH DENTIST YOU USE..... THE IMPLANTS ARE USUALLY 750.00 TO 1100.00 EACH...AND LEFT TO HEAL FOR A COUPLE OF MONTHS BEFORE THE TOOTH IS INSTALLED.....MY EXPERIENCE WAS THE CHEAPER DENTISTS IMPLANTS WERE TITANIUM, BUT MUCH SHORTER AND LESS THICK....LOST ONE.....CANNOT REPLACE THEM IN THE SAME SPOT ......YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR..... SOMETIMES YOU CAN GET IMPLANTS ON EITHER SIDE OF THE DENTURE FIXTURE....IF YOU HAVE ENOUGH BONE AND THE GUM LINE IS STRONG....EACH CASE IS DIFFERENT....BUT WELL WORTH THE PROCESS BECAUSE THERE IS NO COVER ON THE ROOF OF THE MOUTH AND THE LOOK AND FEEL IS VERY MUCH LIKE YOUR NATURAL TEETH.... AND THEY DO NOT STAIN.... THE PRICE OF THE IMPLANT IS IN ADDITION TO THE COST OF THE FINAL DENTURE OR REPLACEMENT VARIES BY THE DENTIST.

You need at least 4 of them but your dentist can say this when he sees your panoramic x-ray.
Here in USA, it will cost you at least $13.000
but if you go to European countries like Turkey,
you will have a great treatment and a wonderful trip with the difference.
