64 ounces.
8 ounces in a cup.
2 cups in a pint -- so that's 16 ounces.
2 pints in a quart -- so that's 32 ounces.
4 quarts in a gallon -- so that's 128 ounces.
Half of that is 64 ounces.

easiest way to remember this is "a pint's a pound, the world round." There are 16 oz. in a pound, therefore a 1/2 pint would have 8 oz. in it. (Actually, a gallon weights 8.3 pounds, and there are 8 pints in a gallon, but I think 1 pound is handy enough for general use. so it is 64 Hope this helps now and in the future.
