My two kids share a room and there is limited space in the closet, so there is quite a bit of clothes in dresser. I just got the closet cleared, so I will be able to hang more clothes, but I will still have the usual dresser items for 2 kids (boy and girl-ages 3 and 1). I was thinking of under the bed storages, but the toddler bed is to close to the ground I think. Are there any creative ideas of what I can do with the clothes, so I can ditch the dresser?
Thank you in advance

I have 4 kids (2 boy and 2 girls) and the first thing that I would do is clean out the clothes that they don't or can't wear. I have the clothes stacker that are Velcro on the top and go over the bar with different pockets. I actually have one in my closet for my sweaters that I don't hang up. Also you can buy a hanger that has a lot of hanger bars on it that is made for pants and saves space. I think that you can get those at Wal-mart, Target or, if you have one, Bed, Bath and Beyond. Other than that, you could put another clothes bar halfway down the closet to double the hanging room. I would try going to Home Depot or Lowe's and see about the closet organizer systems. They are a little more expensive but you can get shelves, bars or baskets that go on runners.

Get one of those closet organizers, if you don't have a million dollars to spend on one from Organize This, go to Target, but you have to assemble them yourself and it's a *****. Or how about seasonal storage? Those bags that flatten clothes for easy storage are awesome! Or how about a smaller dresser inside the closet, and hang short stuff over the dresser, like shirts, etc? Can you tell I've lived in a lot of single apts???

You can always get a plastic dresser (rubermaid) and put it in the closet. Or seperate winter and summer clothes and use the under the bed storage idea.

I was thinking of doing the same thing for my toddlers room. I too have two kids in a room. I had seen some nice wire cubbies at Target. I thought of getting those and hanging them on the wall so I can put their clothes up there. I thought it was a good idea because my kids toss their clothes everywhere when they are looking for clothes that match. Hope this helps.

Kids really don't need that many clothes. Just stick to the basics and give the rest to charity, or store them in plastic bins in a garage or attic if you plan on having more kids. Have you checked into the closet storage systems?
