When I ask "If God created us from dirt, why is there still dirt?" do you actually think I am being serious?

Don't answer yet! I know you are a slow thinker, so please take five minutes before coming to your answer.

Of course, anyone with half a brain will realize that my question is satirizing the popular Christian question, "If we evolved from monkeys, why are there still monkeys?"

In reality, this question only proves one's ignorance of evolutionary theory. Nobody claims that modern species of monkeys are our ancestors. The theory is that we share a common ancestor, and this ancestral species has been phased out through evolution.

So why don't you educate yourself, and then also learn how to spot sarcasm on the internet?

Sarcasm can be a hard thing to detect on the Internet.

Failing to spot sarcasm on the Internet is hardly unique to Christians -- though you seem to think that this is a uniquely Christian deficiency.

Plus, "being created out of something" is not analogous to "evolving from something."

Thing A can be created out of Thing B -- for instance, paper being created out of trees -- and Thing B necessarily still exists. That's because Thing B is not changing or evolving into Thing A.

But when Thing A evolves into Thing B, it's entirely reasonable to expect Thing A to change. That's what happens in an evolutionary process -- but not in a creationary one.

Sarcasm and facetiousness are easy enough to spot online, or anywhere else. Most Christians--as well as most other human beings--can figure it out quite easily.

On the other hand, most Christians can actually spell "sarcasm" correctly. Look at your first question, for heaven's sake.

Oh, and in case you're a bit on the slow side, the above sentence was merely facetious. :)

They probably take things too serious....I know because I was raised Catholic/Christian and while the religion has alot of good things it also has negative repercussions in some areas. In defense, I will say that often there is a fine line between sarcasm and rudeness....and it might just be that the person you are speaking with finds you to be rude.......In any case, the right answer is probably somewhere in the middle.

Actually modern day Chimps are very closly related to us. Strictly speaking in terms of DNA they are nearly 99% similar to ours. DNA evidence clearly shows that we evolved from the same ancestors. It's just a mater of their evolution divered in a different direction than ours.

Does it bother you that I can so easily counter your flawed logic?

I think you must be dealing with a lot of Fundementalist, who tend to be a straight forward lot. However, the modern species of chimpanzees is a lot closer to our DNA structure than a monkee, but since you are trying to prove a backhanded sort of stab at Christians and their beliefs you were smart enough to know that.

possibly. all human beings tend to p.c.. up on issues that we do ourselves. this occasion is resembling being comfortable to the language all of us know terrific and use the main often --- our first language. lacking sarcasm is a few thing i've got picked up with myself, even in spite of the undeniable fact that i used to apply those sarcastic procedures of speaking earlier i grew to become a Christian. considering that i've got replaced the way i communicate to human beings to procedures that are elementary, advantageous, style and supportive, i know myself i tend to be slow to p.c.. up on sarcasm and double innuendos ... i eventually do via fact of my history, even though it takes awhile. yet that does no longer recommend we are stupid and don't have a sturdy experience of humour; we in basic terms communicate and pay attention in yet in a diverse way via fact we've a diverse "first language" ... rather the way i've got got here across that non-Christians do no longer "get" Christian humour and procedures of speaking. yet each and every so often i chosen to forget approximately approximately somebody's sarcasm and/or double innuendos, too ---- as a kindness and loving gesture to the different individual.

Christians don't lack anything other than care for the point you try to make with your pompous question becuz we already know that your wrong from the moment you open your mouth and anything but "God is alive" came out.

So you're actually the slow one.

Since when does the "ability to detect sarcasm and facetiousness" define someones level of intelligence.

Sarcasm is a tool of the devil and those who use it are his pawns. To answer your question Christians assume you are one within the light and not persecuting there belief system. Do not fault them for there blind faith in the good book.
