I've been wanting to pick up ukelele for a while now, but I have no experience with ukelele or guitar. I know it has to be easier because it only has 4 strings, but how much easier? How big is the learning curve?

A lot easier. You don't have to span so many strings to play chords. If you do get a ukulele though, get a decent one because the cheap ones sound terrible. If you want something with more or a guitar -like sound that is still easy to play though, I recommend a mandolin. They have eight strings but it is really like playing four since their are doubles of each string. I taught myself to play it in less than a week and I love my mandolin!

A great deal easier. Not only that there are only four strings as opposed to six or 12 on guitar, but the fingering is much easier, particularly for those with small finger spans.

It's easier by two strings.

It's a lot easier...but much less rewarding.
