But, to get you started, there are the Big Three monotheistic religions: Judaism, Christianity, and Islam (in order of their founding).
There's also Hinduism and Buddhism. Jainism and Zoroastrianism. Sikhism and Shinto.
Then there's less organized religions, such as animism, ancestor worship, and other forms of paganism.

Yeah, that would take a long time and you already have a great resource sitting in front of you, your computer. I had cults and other religions when I was in high school and I had to do the same thing you are doing now. Have fun.

Christians- We believe that God sent His Son down on this earth to die for us so our sin can be saved. We believe that you must repent for sins and be baptized. We believe that it took God 6 days to create the world and on the 7 day He rested. We believe that Jesus was resurrected on the 3rd day. (There is a group called just Christians and then there is a over all group called Christians which groups like Catholic and Presbyterians fall under.)
Catholic- They have priests and sprinkle babies
Muslim- They believe in the God of Abraham and read the Qu'ran. They believe Muhammad was a prophet.
Presbyterians- I have no idea about them....
Buddhists- Believe in peace and Harmony
Atheists- They believe that there is no God.
The Romans- believed in many gods like the sun god.
The Aztecs, Incas, and Mayans- believed in many gods and the sun god was the most important god.

Judiism - Man made belief system. Has men who lop off the tip of your "member"
Christianity - Man made belief system. Rhymes with insanity.
Muslim - Man made belief system. Promotes running in cicles with your gun above your head shouting laalaalaalaalbababala
Morman - Man made belief system. Promotes pedophilia and cult-like behaviors.
Scientology - Promotes jumping on Yellow couches and shouting "I love this girl!!!"
Baptist -Man made belief system. Mostly prays on southerners. It is against free though and you have to occaisionally wear a sheep costume.
Born again -Man made belief system. A requirement is that when you meet someone you have to say "I have been saved for [insert number here] days" Very akin to AA meetings.
Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. (www.venganza.org). If you can believe in a God that would kill innocent first born babies, then you can believe in a flying spaghetti monster!
Pamela Andersonism - All hail ye mighty mammories!
