the overabundance of a mass quantity of material goods.
an abundance of things that we don't need.
convenience - it's a double-edged sword; it's made our lives better but we've gone too far.
lack of education and awareness of what really matters
emphasis on money and material things ("it's what sells") rather than on genuine happiness and all the other things that really matter.
To all those who say we don't have enough God/Jesus: Sure, because religions are good for giving society an established code of ethics and priorities. But competing religions cause tensions between people too. We need a more universal code, and it ain't gonna be just YOUR religion, be it Christianity, Catholicism, Judaism, Buddhism, Islam, jainism, Bahai, etc . . . !!

No, what we % is greater parenting . If somebody acts like a spoiled brat and is often bragging approximately their technologies its because of the fact their mom and father did a piss undesirable job at raising them.

The depravity of man. Everyone sins and there is nothing we can do about it by ourselves. The world will continue to get worse. The only way to be saved is through Christ.

well hon, I could answer this question in some many ways. first one is because we as people can't see past race, sex, religion, and origin. Instead of seeing that we are all the same we categorized people and we have already made up our minds before they even get the chance to show themselves. Second, we are a spoiled generation we don't have to work to in order to appreciate anything. thirdly because marriage and responsibility isn't taken to heart as it use to be its not secret you can get married and divorce all in the same day.

The media. Television has desensitized us to death and destruction. Television has also given us a false belief in that the more material possesions we acquire the more value we have as individuals. Of course, this is simply my opinion.

you might not like the answer... well my answer anyways. but i think that a big factor is the lack of families and family values. most mothers are working outside the home. wheter by choice or necessity... nevertheless it affects the children... the lack of respect from children towards parents... maybe because parents are so busy outside the home that when they are with their children they do not want to be parents but friends instead... we all need good role models to look up to. my mom worked outside the home and it has affected me trmendously. i love her yet i feel the importance of raising my children by being a sahm. hopefully my hubby and i will do good with our family. parents often forget that they have kids and don't talk to their kids anymore.

The media. When we continually watch violence, adultery, etc. we become desensitized. It influences the youth culture especially.
