Its called bacteria its there for a purpose the only way you could kill it is walking around like Popeye, with air hitting your armpits all the time the bacteria would go away completely it lives in warm moist environment of your body. Soap and water is temporary so is deodorant you might try looking at your diet are you drinking beer a lot that can make you sweat and the sweat is not pleasant to smell ever. If nothing else talk to a doctor you might be obsessed about something normal.

Definitely have him see a dermatologist. But if that's not possible for some reason, see if he can find some pine tar soap. Try washing with it in one area and see if there's any improvement before he uses it on both armpits.
Pine tar soap has helped cure some of the worst eczema and allergy rashs that I've ever seen. You can order it on line if needs be, but do test it on one small area before using it all over.

You have an infection usually fungal. Stop using Deordorant and make sure to wash and keep the area dry. Use some medicated powder in place of the deodorant. It will keep you dry. It should heal up in a few weeks. If you can though don't scratch!

You can actually get yeast infections on the skin. My neice had something similar in the bend of her knee. Try using a yeast infection cream on it after baths and before bed, like Vagisil or something.
