i am very passionate about the whole illegal/legal alien thing.
and to all the conservatives who have comments on this I say this: WE ARE IMMIGRANTS, TOO!!!

When Dennis Kucinich was running for President, he suggested we abolish our War Department (what we today call the Department of Defense) and create a Department of Peace instead.
I thought he was ahead of his time until you posted that link and I saw these responses!

It would be great, but we have to secure the borders first.
Without borders, it would be chaos, and decrease peace, as it would allow people to come and go as they please, furthermore, creating problems. People would disregard the law even more, and it would be a disaster.
To organize peace, you must obtain laws. Otherwise, it would just be a mess. A peaceful environment NEEDS laws to gain a secured society.
