Simply go to the local Dept. of Public Safety, Licensing Division and present your ID card and proof of residence such as lease agreement, utility bill, etc.

These days, you'll probably need a certified birth certificate -- one that has the official state seal on it. Multiple forms of identification are required in some states, along with a piece of mail verifying your address.
Call a driver's license bureau and ask what they require or check online with the State of Texas' official website.

Go down to the local State Patrol or Sheriff's Department whereever they issue ID and take along a letter addressed to you, at the new address. It's very simple.

Go to the DPS nearest to you.Give them the new address.Of course bring cash, that's always required.
