baby girl, the last thing you wanna hear is your too young, so i wont say that, what i will tell you is at 14 i wouldnt suggest any one over the age of 15 for you, and you wont see the difference in the ages until you are older, but trust me, when you get older and theres a 17 year old thats in highschool dateing a 14 year old middle school student or even if their both in highschool, whew, you will begin to wonder what is wrong with these men that think they are grown but still have a "thing" for 13 and 14 year old females. You may be mature for your age, and have a good head on your shoulders, but that doesnt say anything about him, and if you do decide to date someone older than you, even if its 17 ( thats too old in my opinion) watch out girl, some men date younger woman cause theyre more easily controlled, and you dont realize your being controlled, and there are times that a younger person falls in love with an older person, at 14 you are probally ready to fall in love for the first time, but thats only the first time, so dont stress it. . . . .

Too old for what? If you mean dating, you should set your sights at around 16. An 18-year old is a little too experienced, likely into drinking, and just a bit much for a 14-year old to handle. Even if you are mature for your age.
Don't rush growing up -- the process can be a lot of fun, and you only have once chance to to it.

My daughter is 14 and her "boyfriend" is 16. This is an acceptable age difference. When I was her age, my boyfriend was also 2 years older than me. Be careful because guys have sex on their mind even at your age. They can just have sex and turn their back on you. Don't rush into anything with anyone and don't be outwitted by some old sucker. If a guy who is 18 or more tries to get with you, ask yourself why he isn't with someone closer to his age. He may think that you're easy prey or fresh meat and be trying to take advantage of you. Just don't be a fool. You are a young lady so carry yourself as one regardless of who you're dealing with. Do this and you'll be okay. Keep your guard up and enjoy life...Guys will be around forever...believe me, I know.

When you are 25 or 30, five years will be something no one will notice, at 14, keep very close to your own age. If you started dating a guy that was 17, that's only three years, right? The gap is huge when in just one short year he is 18 and you are 15. It will mean much grief.

If not everyone knew, older than 18 isnt the only thing illegal. at 17 your considered an adult in some states and a 17 year old could even get in to trouble with being with someone younger. I would probably go up to 17 and thats it for you.
