It's hard to smile when the whole world thinks the sun shines right out of your ar5e.....yet again he wins a major by everyone else being scared and going backwards...he was leading going into the last round and he's yet to win a major title without being in that position....He is a good player and will probably go on to be a great but he's beating 5 maybe 8 players in reality.....When he wasn't playing well look and see who won the open. No depth of quality in the field these days.

He does, just not when he's playing typically, unless it's a really good shot. He waits until he has the tournament won, which has been in most cases recently. He's on target to break the record of 18 majors held by Jack Nicklaus.

bballer8908 has it right. If he allows himself to break his concentration, anything could happen. Especially at the level of competition he is playing at. Why do you think it is so hard for his competitors playing with him when he is in contention to play well?
There are a lot of distractions with the crowd and all. His "game face" is all about focus on the job at hand. After all, it is the object to win... when you are playing for money. I also think it is his way of intimidating his opponents. Sure seems to work!
He never has trouble smiling when he is picking up the trophy, and......the check!

its called focus. he does smile but he doesn't care if he's ahead by how much he is trying to play the game. i am the same way. i am totally different when i am playing golf verse when i'm not. you have to be focused especially when u are at that level of golf. it takes a lot to play golf and you have to keep the mind set because golf is a big mind game. one slip up and ur done. don't be hard on someone that is winning. it works for him and why does it matter if he doesn't smile when he plays. he smiles when he's done playing

His Dad died!! And his dad was a HUGE part of his LIFE!! Especially in GOLF!!! So it's still probably a little hard to hit a good shot and notice your dad not being there clapping for him or smile at him!!

In golf you can easily lose a 5 shot lead. let's say he puts it in the water on 17, it could have gone downhill fast.

He does... after the tournament! He's focused and his concentration on his game is unparallel to anyone. He doesn't want to just win... he wants to obliterate the field to remind them he's back! This is what everyone should thrive for on their goals... Heard of Michael Jordan?

Tiger has a nice smile, but when he is playing he is a competitor. You can see him smile frequently when in interviews and commercials.

He is totally focoused. Remember that one time someone threw a apple on the green and it rolled right in front of him and he didn't even see it. (He probabley did but he didn't show it.) That's true focus. That's amazing.
