I was reading up on Flat Irons ans have decided to buy a Sedu. They are the best rated flat iron in the world. (Even higher then CHI's) I perm my hair about once a year and i love my curly hair, but for those days when I want straight hair, is it going to be ok to straighten it, without negitive effects on my perm? Thanks!

OK I see a lot of ppl are confusing a relaxer with a perm. A relaxer relaxes curls (black ppl usually use relaxers) and a perm creates curls (White ppl usually use perms). Now that we have that straightened out (pardon the pun) No you should not flat-iron your hair if you have a perm. The curls may not come back and/or you can really damage your hair.

Yep, I think you can flat iron it but you really have to condition your hair more when you color/perm/iron/curl your hair because chemicals and heat really dry your hair out. I use a syrum on my hair when I use the flat iron and it helps keep my hair healthy.

Yes!! It is okay if you go to most beauty shops you'll see people get flat irons after perms. Just make sure your hair is conditioned, and have some light ol on it. I know. (Have long healthy hair, and get perms)

Absolutely! You can striaghten your hair out to change your look. I do it ALL THE TIME. It changes your appearence and makes people guess on what is next. I love to straighten my hair. The only down fall to straightening your hair, it dries your hair out faster and I usually get a trim every 4 weeks. Other than that it's fun!

BUT WHEN YOU WILL USE IT AGAIN WILL ALWAYS NEED USE IT AGAIN YOUR HAIR WILL STILL ALWAYS WILL NEED TO USE THE SEDU !!!

Of course, just make sure you have enough hair oil. Don't flat iron it too much though.It will start to break. But as long as you take good care of your hair you should be okay

yes it is ok if u use a flat iron on ur hair cuz i us't to have a perm and i used a flat iron and my hair turned out good ....... so it's ok u can......
