IT's a two year program.
You will need to take pre-reqs like Biochemistry, Microbiology, Anatomy & phisiology. Your Econ, Soc, Written & Oral Comm should transfer. You also need a psych. course.
Then comes the Core courses. It's a great field, do it if you have time to devote to all the studies you need. Be prepared for waiting lists, some schools have 4 to 5 year waiting lists.

Your Local Community College...Find a program go through like everyone else. But why would a programmer go into a field that deals with people's mouths all day.

Some dentists will train their own dental hygienists if they have the time. So formal training isn't always possible.

research the dental schools in your area on the internet . then go and apply at the school of your choice.

go to the school find out the course program and how long it runs..probably lil less than two years since you allready got you core courses finished.
