Well just keep telling yourself you CAN DO this and each day reward yourself by telling yourself you are doing what is best for yourself.

Awesome!!! I quit in march & the first 3 months were so hard for me. You should just keep busy. The walls in my house were shiny because I was cleaning so much. Put the nervous energy into something productive. And remember, after 72 hours, it's all in your head. Nicotene is out of your body at that point. Now the physical (holding the cigarette while driving, reading, etc... ) habit is the last feat.Looking at pictures of lung cancer online helped me too. And what a smokers tongue looks like after smoking for a super long time. Ugh. Good luck girl.
(Remember that cravings only last a few seconds. Drink a full glass of water & that should pass some time until the urge surpasses.)

WAY TO GO!!! I had my four yours smoke freeon the 12th!
I have to tell you I still get cravings, these passt two weeks really bad! I know if I ever have one I will be hooked again and I won't quit again! They say it improves your chances by 50% if you use two things to help you quit. I used the patches and pills. See if your state has any programs to help people quit. At the time I did my state had a program that paid for all that stuff and had a support hotline. Sometimes they would just call. It was great!
You can do it!! Don't convince yourself that life is stressful, you will quit when it quiets down! There is always stress, and that's just an excuse!!

I quit last August after 20 years of smoking. It was really hard. I didn't want to gain weight so until the worst cravings were over (about a week) I put a piece of gum in my mouth every time I would have smoked: after a meal, getting in the car, hanging out with friends that smoked, etc. That really helped me not smoke. Then I notcied that all my friends who still smoked really STUNK! I hate the smell now.
Good luck!

DO NOT give up!!! you are doing great!! Soon those awful cravings will disappear and you will feel better, your clothes will not reek of stale smoke, and your house will be forever cleaner. Keep going. It is really worth the trouble. This from a previous smoker of 25 years of three or more packs a day. I have not smoked for 26 years. YOU CAN do it!!
Good luck!!!

Can you get nicotine patches to help slow the craving where you live?
My wife smoked from about 16 until she was in her 60's, tried many times before she finally licked with the help of the patches.
She said that, although they seem expensive, they are cheaper than the cigarettes that she would have smoked during the same period.
She also put away each week that money that she would have spent on cigs.
When she died last year she left £1000 to each of our grandchildren out of it.

"Have a good clear-cut motive for quitting. Love for God and the desire to please him is the best one. And loving your neighbor is another good one. Set a goal and stick to it. Make it public that you are quitting - tell your friends and enlist the help of your family members. Stop abruptly if possible. And do all you can to avoid a smoking environment."
Along with that i personally think it would help if you thought about the benefits it would bring you. Many ex-smokers have commented on the re-newed discovery of the natural and simple pleasures of life. For instance taste, or just walking in the woods may longer be the same. And the biggest benefit is that you will be ridding yourself of a habit that displeases God, and many of your neighbors. Think about the money you would be saving. It would also help if you drink more fluids. Wholesome drinks such as fruit or vegetable juices. Or just plain water. A balanced diet also helps. Get exercise regularly. Go to bed early to avoid nervous fatigue. Concentrate on learning to relax. Because if you really want to, you CAN stop! Success depends almost wholly on the smoker’s determination and will to stop. Without this determination, no antismoking remedy will succeed. But with it, a person can quit without paying for some expensive antismoking remedy. And most of all don't forget to pray for help. “For all things I have strength by virtue of him who imparts power to me.” (Phil. 4:13) I always find that scripture comforting under any circumstance.

WAY TO GO WONDERWOMAN. Good for you. What you need to do is get some literature from the library, the American Lung Association, or the Cancer Society, and READ IT.
Do you know the lung tissue is one of the fastest healing tissues in the body. You already feel changes taking place. Lowered blood pressure, open breathing passages, etc.
KEEP IT UP.

your body is over its physical cravings at day 3, so what you're experiencing now is strictly psychological. so find ways to reward yourself for each day. (not food.) and find something to deal with the reasons for your psychologically based cravings. is it the act of smoking? (something to do with your hands or mouth? try gum, or worry beads, or knitting or eating veggies.)
or is it the taste? pretty soon you'll have smell and taste sensations that have been suppressed for years. if you go back, you'll lose all that, you know.

Keep it up. Think of yourself as a non-smoker. Take a nice deep clean breath. Go for a walk. See how much easier it is? Buy yourself a little reward with all that money you've saved. Crunch some fruit. YOU CAN DO IT!!!

You have to be strong!!!!!
Smoking KILLS, so stop if you can live more more years so you can travel around the world....
And besides that,if you don't smoke, you don't buy cigarrets so you save some money!!
Try finding a healthy hobby, like gardening.
