I agree. There is a lot of hatred an bigotry here about something most people don't know or understand. Everyone here parrots statistics and quotes from a propaganda machine, not realizing 1) Not all terrorists are Muslim, 2) The actions of a few do not and should not represent the whole, 3)Isn't their anti-Islam campaign just as bad as the anti-Christian campaign they complain about?

Because blaming the religion of the people who have been used and abused by the worlds major corporations in the name of greed and profit at the expense of all the little people. muslim christian jew and buddist. is easy. If They can keep the focus off the real problem Greed and there need to have 5 porches in there garage they will and they will use the media they own to do it. Unfortuantly most of the people in this format have never read a history book the constitution or THERE OWN BIBLE> so you get what you get If your offended ITS YOUR FAULT you dont have a offense button on your body if your offended its beacuse you have made a choice to judge rather than pray for the sick ones you encounter in your life. Do you want to be happy or do you want to be right, Its a choice.

I think people have always been a little wary of Islam as it is quite mystical and Islamic people don't really integrate generally in the Western society so we don't really "know" and understand them if you know what I mean. The current war the Bush administration is involved in against terrorism isn't helping as its definately causing tensions between Christians and Islam and noone seems bothered to do anything about mending those relations.

I agree but you've got to accept that a minority of people on this site are of low intellect and most of the time don't even understand the issues in the questions they are posing. To really upset them don't even look at a question that is obviously offensive or racist. If the only people who answered their questions were of a like mind they'd soon go elsewhere in the search for someone to upset.

i think people are afraid right now. A few extremist seems to have it out for the west and we blame the whole religion. Judaism, Christianity, and Islam are like "cousins" we all worship the same God. The God of Abraham. But like true cousins we just don't see eye to eye all the time. I'm not afraid of Islam..I am afraid of the people...any people that do horrible things in the name of God.

Do you really need to ask why, I know it seems unfair to the good people of Islam, but how many of those just sit around and do nothing to stop the others, there seems to be a thin line now between the good and bad of Islam

If a question offends you, just pass it by and move on to the next one.

There will always be people bashing the religious beliefs of others. It's one of life's unpleasant realities. Either answer the question and try to influence people's opinion on the matter, or just let the question pass without any commentary on your part and get on with your life.

Yes, some questions are offensive. But that's the price of free speech (and aren't you glad we've got it?)

The Media. All Americans hear about anymore is Islamic Terrorists. So it seeps in, and mixes with the fact that they aren't Christians (Oh, my!) and people don't like them.

Personally, I don't know any Muslims. But I treat Islam like any other religion.

I think it may be offensive but in the West we still do have the right to say whatever we want to about any religion. I think muslims in particular would like to kill you if they disliked what you said about Islam or Mohammed. They need to grow and decide to buckle down to our laws and let others say what they will about Islam.

People tend to dislike and fear what they do not understand. Most of the people in the Middle East dislike Americans because they believe that we all hate them. Most of these ideas of the way other countries are is due to ignorance of earlier generations. For example, children in Iraq are taught to hate us a country before they can even read and write.
