I assume that you have naturally curly hair. I have straight hair in the front and very curly/wavy hair in the back. Here are the things that work best for me:

1. After you wash your hair, don't dry it and twist small pieces of it until it makes little balls on your head and then secure with elastic covered ponytail holders -- let your hair air dry (go to bed). When your hair is dry take it down and you'll have beautiful curls -- more curls, more little balls, less curls, less little balls.

2. A straightner with stone instead of metal is better than a curling iron because it straightens the hair and curls it at the same time. It usually gets hotter than a curling iron and is better for the health of your hair.

good luck!

You may just need to use a larger curling iron, or wrap more hair around the iron when curling. I would recommend using large hot rollers for the best curls. If your curls are too tight and poodle-like you could spray on frizz ease and brush out.

you some gel or mouse first to weigh it down then blow dry it. Use a large curling iron and loosely wrap it up to wear your chin is at. Spray your hair while you have it on the curling iron. It will help tame it. Good luck

You should probably go to your hair stylist and ask for a cut that works with curls.

I know what you mean about it looking pouffy and silly, but I don't think there's a whole lot you can do if you have it cut so it works straight. It's hard to do both unless it's rather long.

use a large-barrel curling iron for loose waves instead of poodle-like ringlets

i think you should get a ;perm every once in a while. curling irons will damge your hair if you use them every day. mouse and hairspray is also very overrated.

ask a proffesional!

the best answer from me is to go to the beauty salon you do not want to risk burning your hair.
