Good question.
Personally, I hope food won't change that much except for the discovery of more interesting vegetables or fruits. After all, oranges were fairly "new" curiosities in the 14th century and for centuries, tomatoes were considered poisonous.
Given the tendency that "everything old is new again", I predict (wait, let me get my crystal ball) that there will be an interest in preparing and cooking food in "the old-fashioned way", using wood-fired ovens (already in use in many restaurants) and going back to the way Grandma cooked.
Of course, by then a microwave oven will be old-fashioned.
Now you've given me "food for thought". Many thanks.
Bon Apetit!

I am a chef and I think that there will always be a need for chefs. There's always something about a home cooked meal. There may well be substances sold as "food pills" U.S. Calvary sells these as part of a survivalist catalog. People evolved with a tongue so we can taste. Why give up one of our senses?
These alternatives will come into being but, will only to be used as a supplement for an ever increasingly on-the-go lifestyle.

I think that we will allbe able to grow our own vegetables and fruit in time factors that we choose, one fresh peach every second day, and they will have evolved so much we wont need to eat animal protien ( and animal disease)+(and we wont have the luxury of space to keep animals) a return to community focus and use foods that are grown and manufactured with a100km radius of where we live

hopefully in 100 years McDonald's will be out of business and people will be living much healthier ( not just McDonald's all fast food restaurants.... just to clarify big chain fast food ones that use processed food not mom and pop stores that make everything fresh)

Every food will be available in a synthetic form, like vitamins and medication. There won't be any cavaties in the teeths, because nobody will be actually chewing their foods anymore.
