When my neice was born she had a vaginal discharge it was white. The doctor said it was the result of the high levels of hormones in her body as a result of my sister's high hormone levels. Can anyone explian? Or have you seen this?

It's normal. She had hormones from the pregnancy (estrogen) still in her little system which can cause a white, odorless discharge. Sometimes babies are born with engorged looking genitals, swollen breasts or even a discharge from the nipples or vagina.

Yes, my best friends little girl had this and it is true that the hormones cause it. My best friend freaked out when she saw it and went directly to the doctor. He said it was no big deal and it would go away.

that is normal, a newborn can also have what appears to be a period as well dues to the hormones from the mother, also I was told that is what causes cradle cap in infants is the overload of hormones passes from the moster.

I don't know. My own baby girl had breastmilk. It would leak out and everything, for almost a month. Never seen the discharge thing though.
